” Am an orphan an a secondary school dropout, i could not finish my secondary school education  due to financial crises. Am not so good in “English” . I managed to attend a computer school where i learned computer appreciation programs and i don’t have enough money to take an online money making course or start and online business . How can i make money online?. Is it possible for someone like me to make money with the internet? Please help”.
I received the above the above mail from one of my blog readers who thinks because she is a secondary school drop out and she is not fluent  in English that she cannot make money online.

Just like Miss Caroline there are many people who believe that they cannot earn money online either because they feel they are not good in english, or scared of being scammed or for one reason or the other.

The truth is:Making money online does not require any qualifications. You don’t have to be a University graduate or obtain your masters before you can start making money online.

If you are patient and willing to learn, then you can become successful online.

Have read articles by writers from India and the Philippines who can’t write in English properly but yet they are making it online.

Of course, knowing how to write well in english is good but it should not be a barrier for you making money online.

Gone are the days when you need to be able to code in html, css, javascript, e.t.c before you can have your website or blog. Content Management System (CMS) like wordpress, joomla and drupal now make things easier, you can set up a compete webiste in minutes.

There are hundreds of blog post and guides online on how to create website/blog.

Reason 3: Online Scammers

Many people are scared of venturing into the online income stream because of scammers. While there are people making money online legitimately there are others who are online just to scam you of your hard earned money.

So, you need to be careful about who you deal with online:

I once fell for online scams (laughs) but that was when i started out online. I was a complete novice and fell for anything.

The truth is:

I actually lost quite a good amount of money to online scammers and i wish i knew what i know now then.

Well, let’s just say it was a price to pay to get to where i am today.

You can’t really tell who is who online, so you have to be careful before investing in any online training, money making system, course or whatsoever.

Now, this is another important reason why you probably have not taken action yet and decide to start making money online.
